10 November 2025, El Gouna – With a bold vision to establish the town as the Red Sea’s leading gastrotourism contender on the global stage, El Gouna has signed a long-term collaboration agreement with Flavor Republic Ventures to launch ‘Taste El Gouna’, an innovative gastronomy platform showcasing El Gouna’s vibrant culinary scene and distinctive cultural identity.
The strategic partnership will see El Gouna and Flavor Republic Ventures joining forces to expand the town’s culinary landscape, creating initiatives that attract an international audience with an eye for gastrotourism and lifestyle travel. Building on El Gouna’s pioneering role in developing platforms across art, culture, sports, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and gastronomy, including its flagship event, the El Gouna Film Festival, which just celebrated its eighth edition, the town continues to lead and inspire its community, reinforcing its role as a destination for innovation and global dining excellence. With over 100 diverse dining experiences blending local authenticity and global flavors, El Gouna continues to set the standard for gastronomy on the Red Sea.
The move also leverages on the success of Cairo Food Week & WHEN WE EAT’s creators – Flavor Republic Ventures, whose narrative- led approach will serve to expand the Red Sea destination’s commanding global presence to the world of gastronomy – from cultural tourism to fine-dining.
Through this partnership, El Gouna and Flavor Republic Ventures will work together on upcoming culinary initiatives and sustainability practices, including the official launch of “Taste El Gouna” on November 19, 2025. This will mark the beginning of a year-round calendar of events celebrating El Gouna’s dynamic and expanding dining scene, garnering a stronger global presence, while spotlighting Egypt’s diverse Red Sea ecosystem through a curated lineup of experiences that bring together El Gouna’s global mix of restaurants and gastronomes with world-renowned chefs and culinary innovators.
