As a part of the ongoing efforts to enhance Egypt’s position as a distinguished destination for the international education, the construction work officially commenced at Kingdom of Knowledge International School on its state-of-the-art campus in Uptown 6 October, marking the arrival of prestigious British education to Egypt through partnership with Global School Management (GSM), a leading international school operator managing 165+ schools worldwide.
The construction launch ceremony was attended by distinguished leaders from the project’s strategic partners, including Eng. Ahmed Abouzaid, Chairman of Uptown 6 October Group of Companies, and Moataz Sharawy, Chairman of Uptown 6 October for Investment and Educational Development, Ron Packard, Founder and CEO of Global School Management (GSM), and Professor Sean Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of GSM Middle East and the Board of Directors of Uptown 6 October Group of Companies, subsidiary company directors, and the executive and engineering teams who will oversee the development of this world-class educational facility.
During the event, the official signal was given to commence excavation and construction work at the school site, within a precise schedule ensuring the delivery of completed buildings in 2027, in preparation for its official opening in the first academic year 2027/2028.
The partnership between Uptown 6 October and Global School Management embodies the commitment of both parties to provide an integrated educational experience in accordance with global standards. The school will provide a world-class educational environment, particularly designed to meet the prestigious British National Curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Sixth Form, on a purpose-built 20,000 square meter campus designed for 1,680 students.
The School Campus will include integrated educational, sports, and cultural facilities to offer a balanced modern education. There will be 70 moderns, technology-enabled classrooms. The campus features dedicated science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It also offers a Technology and Innovation Hub with maker spaces and coding labs. Students will benefit from an extensive Library and Learning Resource Center, as well as specialist rooms for Art, Design & Technology, and Music. Facilities also include a theater with a 400 seat capacity, music practice rooms, a recording studio, and dance and drama studios.
The school also has a full-size football pitch with quality turf. There are multi-purpose sports spaces for basketball, volleyball, and indoor sports. Students can use the athletics track and outdoor courts. To enhance students’ well-being, the school offers a modern cafeteria with nutritious meal options. Other facilities include a medical clinic with qualified nursing staff, counseling and pastoral care, and age-appropriate common and social areas.
