The second edition of the EVs Electrify Egypt International Mobility Summit 2025 concluded with great success, organized by Brandit Cairo and held from December 18 to 20 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC).
The summit was launched under the patronage of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries of Industry and Transport, Environment, and Supply and Internal Trade, alongside the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the General Organization for Export and Import Control, the National Authority for Management and Investment, the Internal Trade Development Authority, the Engineers Syndicate, AIESEC, ST PERI, IEEE, EABA, and the Electronics Research Institute.
Commenting on the event, Mohamed El-Saeedy, CEO of the EVs Summit, said: “We are delighted with the unprecedented success of the first edition of the summit, which was launched in October 2024 under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister and with the participation of 18 governmental, international, regional, and local entities. The event attracted nearly 75,000 visitors, featured more than 58 exhibiting companies and 96 international speakers, and achieved significant success in supporting Egypt’s clean energy and electric mobility ecosystem. This strong turnout, supported by wide governmental participation and strong interest from key stakeholders in this vital sector, reflects our commitment to strengthening sustainability policies and supporting the transition toward clean and alternative transportation.”
El-Saeedy added: “We are pleased to build on the success of the first edition through the major achievements realized in the second edition, which represents an ideal platform for leading companies to explore investment opportunities in this strategic sector. We firmly believe that Egypt has the full potential to become a regional hub for the manufacturing and export of electric vehicles, contributing to the development of a strong local EV supply chain and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian industry.”
It is worth noting that the previous edition of the summit witnessed the launch of the first Egyptian-Arab Association for Smart Mobility and Electric Vehicles in Egypt and the Arab world, which aims to empower all stakeholders in the electric mobility sector by strengthening cooperation among manufacturers, innovators, and investors.
Launched from the heart of the first EVs Summit, the association also seeks to encourage and support the transition toward smart and sustainable mobility across the Arab world, contributing to innovation and economic growth.
The second edition of the exhibition featured a wide range of activities, including summit sessions and panel discussions focused on the future of sustainable mobility in Egypt.
The sessions addressed key themes such as strategies for attracting foreign investment in electric vehicle manufacturing, assessing the availability of supporting industries, and examining local and global challenges related to the transition toward electric mobility, with a focus on geopolitical considerations and regional cooperation.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of the transport sector in Egypt’s climate action and sustainability efforts, alongside sustainable transport targets and carbon credits, while reviewing opportunities for international cooperation to advance Egypt’s green transition.
Sessions further explored ways to achieve a sustainable transport vision through strategic local and international investments and EV-driven economic transformation, with a focus on job creation, investment attraction, and strengthening local manufacturing within the sector.
The agenda also covered smart cities and integrated mobility, future infrastructure plans for integrating electric vehicles and new mobility solutions into modern urban spaces, as well as efforts to localize key components for light electric vehicles and develop lithium-ion batteries in Egypt, with emphasis on the latest research and development in electric motor design and manufacturing, in addition to challenges facing three-wheeled vehicle production.
The exhibition witnessed strong visitor turnout, as attendees explored the latest products and services offered by participating companies, including hybrid and electric vehicles, electric trucks and buses, charging infrastructure, and hands-on experiences with the latest electric vehicles and their advanced performance capabilities.
EVs Electrify Egypt Summit 2025 also saw broad participation from leading companies, brands, and official dealerships operating across the electric vehicle ecosystem, technology, energy, financial services, and aviation sectors.
This comes within the framework of strengthening public and private sector efforts to support the Egyptian state’s strategy for sustainability and the transition toward clean and alternative transportation solutions.
Brandit Cairo honored a select group of influencers and specialized automotive media professionals during the EVs Electrify Egypt 2025 Summit, held from December 18 to 20 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC), under the patronage of the Prime Minister’s Office and several concerned ministries and authorities.
On its first day, the summit honored five prominent Egyptian ambassadors in the automotive and electric vehicle sector across the Middle East and Africa, in recognition of their impactful contributions to supporting the transition toward electric mobility and strengthening the regional presence of Egyptian industry. The honorees were Tamer Bashir, Ahmed Ammar—whose award was received on his behalf by journalist Hazem Azzam—Mahmoud Khairy, Ahmed Nouh, and Tony Latif.
This recognition reflects the summit’s commitment to highlighting leading Egyptian role models who have played an active role in developing the electric vehicle ecosystem and enhancing regional awareness of clean technology and sustainable mobility solutions.
The summit also honored the top 15 media ambassadors in the automotive sector across the Middle East and Africa, in appreciation of their influential role in knowledge transfer, highlighting developments in the automotive industry—particularly electric vehicles—and supporting the green transition through specialized and professional media content.
Organizers of EVs Electrify Egypt emphasized that this recognition reflects the summit’s strong belief in the pivotal role of media and specialized expertise in supporting innovation, building bridges between industry and the public, and reinforcing Egypt’s position as a regional hub for the manufacturing and export of electric vehicles, in line with the state’s clean transportation strategy.
