Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, inaugurated the Adomena Factory for building materials and inspected the Egypt Anode facility for carbon block production in the Orascom Industrial Parks (OIP) zone in Ain Sokhna today. The visit came as part of his regular tours to monitor the progress of investment and industrial projects within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Lieutenant General Kamel Al Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport; Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector; Mr. Walid Gamal El Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone; Major General Dr. Tarek Hamed El Shazly, Governor of Suez; and Eng. Amr El Batrik, CEO of Orascom IP.
The Prime Minister conducted a comprehensive tour of the OIP industrial zone, which included the newly opened Adomena Factory for building materials. The project stands out as one of the most significant new industrial investments in the Suez Canal region. It specialises in producing PVC profiles and PVC doors with a total investment of USD 20 million, providing approximately 250 direct job opportunities.
Dr. Madbouly and his delegation also visited Egypt Anode, a company established in 2007 with a total investment of USD 58.5 million. Egypt Anode is one of the leading manufacturers of carbon blocks used in heavy industries and currently employs over 127 workers.
Commenting on the visit, Eng.
