Mohamed Samir, CEO of “Maxim Hotels”: We aim to expand in markets including Hungary, France, Portugal, Holland and Saudi Arabia.
Maxim Hotels’s CEO has more than 20 years of expertise in the hotel management sector, during which he has directed more than 40 projects in five countries.
“Maxim Hotels”, the leading hotel and hospitality company, announced its expansion plan until 2025 during a press conference at Kempinski Hotel, in the presence of its CEO, Mohamed Samir and the Group’s leaders.
He revealed that Maxim has the intention to launch 20 hotels inside and outside Egypt by the end of 2025.
He indicated that the Group intends to expand in several European markets during the next period, as the company is in the final stages of negotiating the development of the “Holiday Inn Franchise model” in Hungary, and the expansion in Amsterdam, Holland, Paris, France, and Porto, Portugal, as well as the expansions plan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, specifically the city of Al-Ula, in addition to the continuation of the expansion plan in the Egyptian market.
CEO of Maxim Hotels stated, that the Group has also implemented several distinctive and creative experiences recently, including the NMEC Experience inside the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, in cooperation with strategic partners, including the company that owns Kidzenia Egypt, in order to provide an integrated and innovative entertainment experience.
“Maxim Hotels” has re-employed what is called Ain Al-Sira Lake to become Le Lace Du Caire, an integrated destination for tourists and Egyptians, and one of the most important destinations for holding various events and occasions such as the Squash World Cup and hosting some events for the Cairo Film Festival.
“Maxim Hotels” has been keen to lay a strong foundation in the development and management of prestigious hotels, museums, motels and entertainment destinations, including Maison Maxim De Lesseps, Royal Maxim Palace, Royal Maxim Port Said, Kempinski, and Sharm El Sheikh Museum, as well as El Dawar Motel Sharm El Sheikhm and lastly, Maison Maxim Hotel as the first environmentally friendly hotel in Sharm El Sheikh which was announced during the Climate Conference.
“Maxim Hotels” with its trademarks (Royal Maxim, Maison Maxim, Maxim Plaza, Maxim Residences and El Dawar), intends to lay a strong foundation for Egyptian brands that are similar to and superior to their global counterparts.
It is noteworthy that Mohamed Samir, CEO of “Maxim Hotels” has spent 20 years in the United Arab Emirates, during which he held many positions and leadership roles in the Jumeirah Group, Atlantis, and Kerzener International, as well as Emaar Hospitality as Corporate director of operations and development for Emmar Hospitality Group.
MR. Mohamed Samir has directed 40 mixed-usage hotels and residential projects in five countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Bahrain.
He holds a BSc. degree in Hospitality and the General Manager Program from Cornell University, USA, as well as graduate of the Corporate Leadership Program from Harvard Business School, and an MBA from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Hospitality Business School.
During his course of career, he has led teams of more than 3000 employees and won many prestigious awards in his field in recognition of his distinguished, innovative and creative strategy in business management.
