Almaadi Steel Group, led by Eng. Mina Atef Hendy, has unveiled a new project titled “Generations of Steel,” designed to equip university students and recent graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to enter the iron and steel industry.
The project supports the state’s efforts to empower youth and bridge the gap between education and labor market demands, in alignment with Egypt Vision 2030.
Eng. Mina Atef Hendy, CEO of Almaadi Steel Group, affirmed that the project reflects the company’s strong conviction that investing in human capital is the foundation for advancing Egypt’s industrial future.
He emphasized that equipping professionals with both academic knowledge and hands-on expertise is essential to building a resilient industry sector capable of competing on regional and global levels.
Hendy explained that the “Generations of Steel” project is built around providing hands-on training within Almaadi Steel’s factories, helping to bridge the gap between academic study and labor market requirements. In addition, giving students real-world practical experience that enables them to quickly integrate into the industrial work environment.
The project was officially launched in April 2025, and the first cohort of Helwan University students graduated in October of the same year, reflecting the program’s success in achieving its objectives within a short timeframe.
He added that the program is not limited to technical training; it also includes integrated managerial tracks covering industrial marketing, sales, customer relationship management, and communication and negotiation skills, in addition to developing personal and leadership capabilities.
Additionally, this comprehensive approach aims to prepare a new generation capable of efficiently managing and operating the industrial ecosystem, he disclosed.
Eng. Mina Atef Hendy, CEO of Almaadi Steel Group, revealed that advanced discussions are underway to cooperate with Steel University, one of the leading international institutions specialized in training for the iron and steel sector.
The partnership aims to transfer global expertise and implement international best practices within the training program.
He also noted that a cooperation protocol was signed with Al Ryada University for Science and Technology in October 2025, with the objective of opening new horizons for training and applied research, as well as further connecting students to the realities of the Industry sector.
The CEO of Almaadi Steel Group added that the 2026 plan includes expanding partnerships with universities and technical institutes across various governorates, allowing a larger number of students to benefit from the project.
He emphasized that supporting youth represents a long-term investment in the future of Egypt’s industry.
He further indicated that the “Generations of Steel” project reflects Almaadi Steel Group’s commitment to combining industrial growth with corporate social responsibility, by adopting training and qualification programs that contribute to building national talents capable of leading the iron and steel sector in the years ahead.
